REMINDERS FROM OUR PIOUS PREDECESSORS [SERIES #1]Our teachers narrate a famous altercation between ‘Allāmah ‘Abd al-Qayyūm Hazarvī, who was the headteacher of Jāmi’ah Nizāmiyyah Lahore, and Pervez Musharraf, the president of Pakistan at the time: pic.twitter.com/0MEDp12U4w— Al Sharaf Institute (@SharafInstitute) May 22, 2025
also in the introduction to FR, there is a mention and thanks to Hz Allama Ahmed Nisar beg qadri sahib of Manchester for his contribution in publishing the fatawa.
i believe it was under the supervision of mufti abdul qayyum hazarwi that the fatawa ridawiyyah was published in 30 volumes. the arabic/persian passages from FR were translated into urdu and takhrij [referencing] was undertaken. ahlu's sunnah will remain indebted to mufti sahib forever for completing such a monumental task. as for who funded the project, ahlu's sunnah will forever remain indebted to pir ma'roof husain noshahi of bradford too. he is an example of what a pir should be like - i.e. pure sunni and no soft spot for any bid'ati.
mashaAllah, i did not see him before, subĥan Allāh, and a beautiful speech. http://www.sunnaforum.com/media/mufti-abdul-qayum-hazarvi-on-sacred-knowledge.83/
