A Great Scholarly Work Released – Alhamdulillah

By the grace of Allah, a monumental academic work has been released. Through the efforts of the Dar al-Turath al-Ilmi department of Maktabat al-Madinah al-‘Arabiyyah, under the project Faizan-e-Hadith, and in collaboration with Dar al-Kutub al-‘Ilmiyyah in Beirut, Lebanon, the book “Fath al-Mannan fi Ithbat Madhhab al-Nu‘man” by the distinguished scholar and hadith master Shaykh Muhaqqiq ‘Abd al-Haqq al-Muhaddith al-Dihlawi (may Allah have mercy on him) has been published.

This book is an outstanding compilation that affirms the Hanafi school through authentic ahadith and narrations, as the title itself indicates. In this work, the learned Shaykh not only outlines the legal rulings of the Hanafi madhhab, but also concisely and clearly presents the rulings of the other schools (Maliki, Shafi‘i, and Hanbali). He then validates the Hanafi position using sound hadiths and rational arguments, and establishes the strength and preponderance of the Hanafi view.

This two-volume work is the fruit of nearly three years of continuous and tireless effort through various stages. Kindly share this post as widely as possible. Jazakum Allahu Khayran.

    Some Features:

    • Fath al-Mannan spans numerous chapters and sections, from Kitab al-Iman (Book of Faith) to Kitab al-Hajj (Book of Pilgrimage).

    • All hadiths and narrations are referenced back to their original sources with necessary annotations.

    • It includes rulings of the Hanafis and other madhhabs, along with brief, beneficial commentary.

    • The book has been prepared in a modern, clear script, with accurate text verification, proper diacritical marks, and thorough editing and annotation.

    • It also contains general indexes to make topic referencing easy.
The work was carried out under the supervision of Muhaqqiq al-‘Asr Mufti Muhammad Hassan Attari (may his shade be long-lasting), with the efforts of Maulana Asim Attari, Maulana Akram Attari, Maulana Mansoor Attari, and Maulana Ahmad Raza Attari.
