Bro, my contention: Mawlana called it "haram" only in light of the media consumption. It will be kufr if consciously done in the direction of the sun as the mushrikeen do it as their ritual, it is similar to greeting their idols.

As the other mawlana said, doing it in another direction would make it just an ordinary exercise.

No I just noted a point that they too have their linkages to other far eastern mushrikeen and their temples. Any specific religious ritual of theirs too would be kufr. You might know that Muslims who learn martial arts, dont bow to their opponents, just nod the head or something.

I came across this as well.
A few questions arose in my mind after watching this.

    1) Is this okay? Is this disrespect of wudhu?
    2) is it okay to say "activating the energy of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wasallam"?
    3) Is it okay to do this in the masjid? I have heard that wrestling which was performed in the blessed time of the best of creation sallallahu alaihi wa alihi wasallam was due to training for jihad.

Here is another one which explains more clearly what this martial arts is about.

The first time i saw this was here on eventbrite, posted by guidanceHub:

With all due respect hazrat, that wasn't the point I was trying to make. My point was regarding declaring it kufr. You titled this thread "yoga ok but surya namaskar is kufr" and I said that in light of the difference of opinion would it be appropriate to declare it kufr when even mawlana shahabuddin sahab didn't declare it such.

Apologies but I didn't quite get what you meant here. Do you mean that they are kufr as well? If so then couldn't one make the same argument for yoga (which you called fine)? Couldn't one also say that the parts which don't involve worshiping buddha (or whatever buddhists do, since I am assuming most, if not all of these, are of buddhist origin) are okay but the ones that don't aren't

Bro please stick to good old fashioned knuckle push ups, decline push ups, and clap push ups and don't use steroids. You'll be in super shape and won't have to bother with this qn ever again, trust me.

On another note, even Kung fu, ninjitsu, samurai sword fighting, tai chi etc are related to japanese and Chinese religions and temples.

    salam
but maulana sikandar warsi sahab said it is permissible because you don't have to do it facing the sun and can do it opposing it.

so would kufr be an appropriate ruling considering the difference of opinion? I don't think even maulana shahbuddin sahab called it kufr in the article۔
