i skimmed through the fatwa and found that under the heading “ḥukm e sharā’iʿ” points 1 and 2 clearly state that the engineer has committed blasphemy. this is effectively the same as declaring him an apostate. therefore, according to 295-c, he should be executed. however, i agree that it should have been stated explicitly in the “ḥukm e sharā’iʿ” section that he has indeed become an apostate rather than just mentioning 295-C.
i too just turned pages and went to the conclusion. he said the Pakistani 295-C should be applied and mehtar mirza is guilty of tauheen. but we also need a one word Sha3iy status of his iman too, explicitly spelled out in the fatwa - mubtadi3i, murtad, zindiq, munafiq, kafir, etc. (i might have missed it, so i stand to be corrected)
